Linux Mint 19 versus 20 - do you migrate or stay put

In the last 8 months, I have been running Linux Mint constantly. I was on 19.2 and switch to 20 in July. For 30 days, I have loved Linux Mint 20.
Changing gears, I have 19 on my AMD 3700x and 20 on my AMD 3950X. I have clients on Peppermint 10 and 9, and we have to either upgrade and migrate or just backup data and reload OS and reload apps, and restore data.
Which is best for you, it depends. If you are good with application reloads, system migrations, re-integration and configurations, you can do either. If you are not good with upgrades, then I suggest just reload and avoid possible pitfalls. It does take a few days to do it correctly and remember your steps and not forget something important.
For me, Linux Mint 19.2 has been awesome. Linux Mint 20 has been a real joy.
Which desktop environment does one choose on Linux Mint? I am using MATE. I have tried Cinammon and XFCE, yet I like MATE.
