27 versus 32 inch monitors and frames per second for gaming

I have a dilemma, which affordable 27 or 32 inch flat screen monitors will support gaming and the frames per second necessary for adequate to superior response performance?
 
I will have to do my homework. The classic 60Hz versus 120Hz and frames per second will need to be vetted in the next few weeks.
