Apple Mac HFS Data Recovery pre-2014 very difficult

Doing an Apple Mac pre-2014 HFS data recovery is very time consuming and slow when the pre-SSD NVME m.2 standard was used in mac books. The chip failure over time was pretty bad and the recovery is nearly impossible.
I have this one drive that has 188GB and only able to recover 5GB, ugh.
Use HFS Explorer, GetDataBack Simple and a Mac mini book running the latest OS still has 10-20% success rate.
after 4 days the chip stopped working even in the old hosted laptop.
