I decided to add another post for Father's Day and it had to do with looking at contributing to WinDirStat.

I learned three things after downloading the ZIP and expanding it to my developer projects folder.

1. I had to modify Visual Studio configuration to support C++ projects.

 2. Had to include the C++ MFC component

3. Fix a debugger compile error by changing Pre-Build event Use in Build command Line to No

I did test the command to see what the issue was; nothing crazy bad.

What you change in the solution's Project Properties Build Events is below from Yes to No

Then, Voila, it compile and ran just fine; even with the Trace monitor running.
