NordVPN runs great on Linux Mint 22 MATE in an Oracle VirtualBox 7.2.2 and not so great with Windows 11 Pro 24H2

In the last 30 days, moving my testing away from Express VPN and onto Nord VPN has been fun and interesting.
Express VPN widely popular and easy to use and not to hard on your PC.
Nord VPN very popular and rather difficult to use and very hard on your PC.
What I come to find is that testing both of these products behave very differently on Windows versus Linux.
In my case Windows 11 Pro 24H2 versus Linux Mint 22 MATE.
The real struggle was Windows 11 with Nord VPN and simultaneously trying to do work both on the Intranet and Internet; LAN vs WAN traffic.
Linux it was fast and easy to install Nord VPN. Windows even easier.
Now here is the kicker, the system, application and critical event logs between Windows and Linux.
Windows, Nord VPN just thrashed the logs with issues whereas Linux Mint not so much.
What I found next was if I put Nord VPN on an Oracle VirtualBox it behaved just as well. Not so with Windows. If I removed Nord VPN off Windows my event logs cleaned up and cleared up immediately. Linux Mint continued to perform easily and fast whereas Windows struggled immensely.
What I concluded was the integration of Nord VPN into the Windows network stack was very intense and maybe for good reason.
Bottom line, if you use Nord VPN, use Linux Mint in a VM with Nord VPN and leave Nord VPN off of Windows.
You will save yourself lots of headaches.
Am I going back to Express VPN? No. I tested that for 1 year and will test Nord VPN for the coming year.
