[RESOLVED] Remote Desktop black screen problems since Windows 11 24H2 to 25H2 and back to 24H2

Since I upgraded to Windows 11 Professional 25H2 and had to downgrade to 24H2 in the last 30-45 days, I have had nothing but black screen problems with Remote Desktop, slow login, frozen taskbar, frozen settings, event viewer not quite vomiting on itself to show me what, when, where and why - yet, here we are.

Bollocks!!

Well, today, I found a reference to a resolution, that worked! KB5050577. It fixed all my Hyper V and MSTSC Remote Desktop blank black screen issues. Reboot required.

11/10/2025 - OH! I spoke too soon! back to black screen! Ugh !!!!

11/14/2025 - RESOLVED - network driver. total rip and replace of Realtek_PCIeLan_10.74.1128.2024 driver from manufacturer MSI X570 Pro (MS-7C37). Do not let Microsoft's driver take over. Completed delete and reboot several times the LAN driver, and ensure the network cable is not plugged in and install the OEM new driver. The reason I figured is that on boot and login, if the network cable was unplugged, everything worked fine, yet with the Network cable plugged in, inadvertent stalls and lock ups would occur. Ergo. Rip out the network stack and then reset the linkage. Was NordVPN partially at fault a while back? maybe!

11/22/2025 - problems continued and voila, while going through my evolution from 1Gb/s network to 10Gb/s and I changed network adapter(s), and now all is well again even for my Hyper V Manager and containers.
