I find it interesting to keep your timeline and product releases timely and at the best predictable opportune time.
why do you need predictability in your product releases? do you?
yes and no. for those looking for your improvements is one thing, and a bad thing for hackers to look for the moment your new release could be opportune to invade.
when you new product is fresh and not fully hashed out, that is a bad time for a hacking group to come at you.
the best solution is to schedule your releases as needed with the resources and regression planning in advance.
oh, don't forget maintenance windows should not be published or made predictable.
