so why have I not spoken of sales and marketing in all my blog articles?
because, our sales and marketing, and public relations actually works...
would I post that for our competition to see? nope.
would I post it to help our clients? nope. We would though speak in person and offline about how to do what we do that just works.
are we frantic sometimes from low sales and low activity? sometimes, yet it comes and goes in cycles.
as long as your business planning and marketing is working in terms of business financial and accounting reporting and triggers, in control out of control, in band and out of band controls, income and expense controls are in place, and you have cash flow, liquidity, and lines of credit for very rare emergency needs, and your risk versus reward ratio is less equal to or less than .5, then you are good to go, you are good. basically, is risk versus reward is a function of ROI, 2:1 or better or risk 1 and reward 2 gives you a 1:2 or 1/2 or .5 or less with a maximum of infinity as approaching 0.
there are other methods for looking at sales and marketing.. just keep your pipeline nearly 1/2 full, your invoicing steady, and your over 30, 60, 90 near 0 and NSF payments near 0, you are good to go.
keep your clients happy and keep in touch. use your instincts.
