For those of you still in the HDD mechanical magnetic world of drive technology, the SSD pricing will be dropping sharply come November, and SSD backup drives should now be considered.
If you have a primary SSD drive, couple that with an SSD backup drive.
If you have a secondary data drive that is > 1TB, then stick with standard NAS drive backup solutions, and/or cloud as well.
Most importantly, more than one backup is required these days.
Primary backup, secondary backup and tertiary backups like in the old days is still valid today.
On premise, offsite, cloud, rotations, swaps, safe backups are vital.
